How do you fix over smudging in photoshop?

I made a mouth a bit bigger for this monster project on this little girl, and to make it less edgy I smudged it. But I over smudged and I'm not sure how to fix it. I tried sharpening and blurring, but that only made it worse. The clone stamp didn't do anything, which is why I smudged in the first place.
