Why do you think The Great Gatsby is a recomended book?

hi guys. a friend was telling me about a book called "the great gatsby" by F. Scott Fitzgerald. she said that its concidered a clic and is even studied in some schools. can ya maybe tell why that is? and it might make me more interested in the novel to read it. maybe if you could tell me like what the novels all about like your own idea like whats the meaning and why its still a clic and well recomended by my friend.
