Pacifier bad for teeth? 1yr old- only give at night?

i started giving it to her cuz of collic and it would help. then i stopped and i only gave it to her at bedtime and during the night. she doesn't have it at all during the day, unless it's time for a nap. sometime she spits it out during sleep and other times she will have it on and off all night. my question is... will it mess up her teeth? or affect anything negatively? she's a very bad sleeper and its something that helps her and i i'm not used as a pacifier.... i'm still feeding. never gave her a bottle. thanks for ur help
