What role has Islam played in the protests in the middle east?
Are the leaders in Syria, Libya, Bahrain, etc. Muslim? Meaning: do they enforce strict Islamic law onto their people? If so, why are they protesting? Isn't democracy an enemy of Islam? Also, how does the Muslim brotherhood play into all this?
