Please help me understand this dream?

I recently dreamt that I was walking around the mall & spotted a little girl that I knew. I stopped to talk to her because she did not seem to be accompanied by a parent, & she told me that her dad brought her to the mall and had left her there for 3 days. Saddened, I offered to take her home& try to help her get in contact with her father.She appeared to only be about 5 or 6. Later, there were three people, two men and a woman who were chasing after us trying to get the little girl with the intention of harming her. In one part of the dream I cover her with my whole body to protect her, & there is a man dressed in all black laying on the floor staring at us. I am screaming at the top of my lungs for him to stay away but no one comes to help. The scene changes and we are at my house and she is safe again, about to go to bed..but then I look outside and see that the three people have followed us to my house and are going to attempt to kidnap her again. Serious interpretations only???
